The company uses only agro-residue and recycles waste to make all its variants of paper. It is one of the few Absorbent Kraft Papers manufacturers in India to do so. It strictly follows the “No Cutting Trees” policy and hence conserving forests and promoting green recycled products. It uses the chemical pulping process to make wood- free paper. The company also uses agro-waste to generate fuel for heating purposes at different points of production.

JB Daruka Papers is the smallest company in the world to set up their own Chemical Recovery Plant, for recycling all the black liquor generated in the Pulping Process. This black liquor consists of caustic soda, which can be recovered as Soda Ash and contributes to lowering the pollution load on ETP. The recovery plant is based on the latest scientific innovations and addresses directly the environmental concerns of the company.

The company is committed to sustainable development and measures its success vis-a-vis its impact on the environment. It has a full-fledged Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) adopted internationally in Pulp & Paper Industry. The effluent and wastewater containing harmful chemicals are treated and recycled in the ETP and can be reused for various purposes. The recycled water also reduces freshwater consumption.


As Pulp and Paper industry is water inclined, JB Daruka Papers have adopted about 30 ponds in nearby villages covering an area of approx. 35 acres for rainwater harvesting and water conservation, to reduce the burden on the environment.

JB Daruka sources all its raw materials locally, reducing transportation & carbon footprint as well as helping the local community. The company also generates employment for the rural area and feeds more than 400 families. It has taken upon itself to help the villagers by building small bridges and roads across the area for their convenience.


The company also runs additional campaigns to benefit the community and the environment. It has planted over 5000 trees across 12.5 acres in Rampurwa village of Sitapur District.

The Plant is based on environmentally friendly concept and care has been taken in every section to eliminate & reduce the pollution at generation points itself. A dust collection system has been installed to enhance the quality of air being released, by collecting dust and other impurities at the source. It is also equipped with an online monitoring system, which detects its performance in real-time.

The safety of the people is the utmost priority at JB Daruka Papers. The factory is well-installed with all firefighting equipment. Along with precautions, there are training sessions and mock drills to create awareness of the actions required in case of a mishap, ensuring the least damage to lives and property.
